We’re always looking for new ways to give back to the community that supports us so much. Last month, we were fortunate enough to do a Mother’s Day Food Drive, which directly benefited the Thornton Community Food Bank (a partner of the Food Bank of The Rockies).
Everyone who came to Wash Fox on Mother’s Day lent a helping hand to the local Food Bank. Thornton’s Community Food Bank Board Directors and Volunteers let us know that the day’s support helped with five boxes of food and even more in cash donations. The Food Bank is dependent on donations of foodstuffs and money to continue carrying out the work they do in the community – helping feed the needy in Thornton and unincorporated Adams County areas. As the need grows, they appreciate all of the support that they receive.
And we did it in typical fun Wash Fox Community development fashion, with complimentary hotdogs on the grill for all wash customers. We don’t want to simply support the community, we want to know the community and for our customers to get to know us.
And we wanted to share out this news because it’s something to be proud of. We are all doing our small part to support our local Thornton community where and how we can, and all of our efforts matter and make a difference.
